Safety Barrier Virgo

The Virgo safety barrier is the lightest structure in the line: a 110 mm post and 63 mm rails, intended for marking boundaries rather than stopping vehicles.

The post is 1200 mm high at 110 mm diameter, rails reach 1500 mm at 63 mm diameter, and the base measures 230 × 230 mm. Absorption is rated at 5,400 J. Hard-flexx® polymer construction and M15 bolt anchoring remain the same as on the heavier variants.

A barrier for people, not for forklifts

5,400 J is the lowest class in the line and should be read plainly: Virgo is not protection against a loaded forklift strike. Its purpose is to mark pedestrian routes, separate zones and organise movement where vehicles should not be appearing at all.

Full height on a light structure

Despite its slim sections, Virgo keeps a 1200 mm post, so it is as visible and legible as the heavier barriers. That matters when guiding people: the boundary has to be obvious, not strong. Shorter 1500 mm rails also allow closer post spacing where the geometry changes.

When Virgo is the wrong choice

If trucks operate in the zone — even pallet trucks, even rarely — move to Rocky or a taller Ursus. A barrier specified below the real hazard gives an illusion of protection, and that is worse than none, because it changes how people behave on both sides of the line.
