Safety Barrier Ursus (230 x 230 mm)

The Ursus safety barrier in its 810 mm version sits between floor-level protection and a full-height barrier, rated at 9,700 J.

The post is 810 mm high and 200 mm in diameter, the base measures 230 × 230 mm, and rails reach 2000 mm at 110 mm diameter. Anchoring is by M15 bolts, with a two-tone finish: post RAL 1021, rail RAL 9005.

Why 810 mm specifically

A height of around 80 cm is the level at which a barrier is clearly visible to both operator and pedestrian while not walling off the space above it. This is the customary height of guard rails in public and industrial settings, so it reads intuitively — nobody has to work out whether they are meant to cross it.

• boundaries of working and buffer zones
• protection of equipment of medium height
• places where foot traffic meets internal transport

A compromise between visibility and reach

The 460 mm version protects only at floor level, while 1200 mm versions can enclose the space and restrict sight lines. Ursus at 810 mm stops wheels and the lower part of a vehicle while staying at the height where people instinctively recognise a zone boundary.
