Customizable Post Heights

The Safety Barrier Rocky offers flexible height options with posts available in 1200 mm, 800 mm, and 500 mm. This adaptability allows for precise protection based on the level at which impacts occur, ensuring effective shielding for various types of vehicles.

Durable Material and Design

Constructed from Hard-flexx® polymer, the Rocky barrier features a robust design with a two-tone finish (posts in RAL 1021 and rails in RAL 9005). It is engineered to withstand impacts of up to 6400 J, making it suitable for high-traffic areas.

Given the wide range of production options, the technical data quoted is indicative.

The Rocky safety barrier is the only one in the line offering a choice of post height — 1200, 800 or 500 mm — so protection can be matched to what actually strikes it.

Posts of 200 mm diameter come in three heights, with rails up to 2000 mm at 110 mm diameter. The finish is two-tone: post RAL 1021, rail RAL 9005. Absorption is rated at 6,400 J for a square impact.

Barrier height counts as much as its class

A barrier protects only at the height at which it stands. A forklift strikes low with its forks and wheels, near the slab, while the mast and counterweight reach higher. Choosing a 500 mm post stops wheels and forks; at 1200 mm you also catch the upper part of the vehicle. The joule figure alone says nothing about whether the barrier will be in the path of the impact.

  • protection at floor level: wheels, forks, pallets
  • separating pedestrian routes without walling in the space
  • zones with moderate traffic and low speeds
  • places where a taller barrier would block sight lines

When a low post beats a tall one

At workstations and in picking zones a tall barrier takes away the operator's view of what happens behind it. The 500 mm version separates traffic without building a wall. To protect services that rise upward — cabinets, pipe runs, racking frames — the 1200 mm post is the choice.

The three heights can be mixed within one installation. There is no reason to run a whole line on a single post height if the hazard changes every few metres.
